The Road Trip-- Day 1 (Salzburg, Austria)

So, on day one we left Zurich and drove through part of Germany on our way to Salzburg. Salzburg is the location of many of the scenes from "The Sound of Music", and we were able to visit a few of those places, including the Hellbrunn palace and the Mirabell gardens. We stayed overnight in Salzburg  in a hot, noisy but still clean and livable hotel room just across the river from the old part of town.
