The Road Trip-- Day 2 (Vienna, Austria)

THE DANUBE RIVER
We arrived in Vienna... probably around lunchtime I think. Vienna is one of my favourite cities in all of Europe. It is so clean and bright. The word that comes to mind when I think of Vienna is probably (believe it or not) ventilated. It just seems so airy and light there.
There are street cafe's everywhere. While we were there, we went to tour the royal treasury!!! We also got a peek at one of the beautiful Lipizaner horses, and of course we did a lot of walking. After spending some time in Vienna, we got back in the car and headed for Prague, Czech Republic. We didn't get into downtown Prague that night because we got in so late. We just ate dinner and went to bed. :)

First, a few pictures from the treasury: the highlight of our visit to Vienna.

Gold baptism set
Crown

My favourite: the emerald unction case.

Roses: made entirely of gold.

This is (drumroll) the LIBRARY!!! Imagine a place that big full of books! I couldn't even get the whole thing in my picture!
